Piano,Violin - Level 2 - Digital Download
By Sharon Wilson. By Isaac Watts. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. Children,Easter,Folk,Sacred,Spiritual. 6 pages. Sharon Wilson #6574823. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.565914).
Here is an easy instrumental duet arrangement (for VIOLIN solo with PIANO accompaniment) of the familiar Appalachian folk tune THE WATER IS WIDE
(O Waly Waly). Many lyrics have been set to this famous tune, but this arrangement uses the lyrics penned by Isaac Watts titled "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross."
The VIOLIN plays the melody for both verses but for the second verse the VIOLIN plays the melody an octave higher and as an echo.
The purchase price includes a combined score (grand staff, 3-stave) with both parts (VIOLIN and PIANO) on each page, plus a 1-staff solo part. The range for the VIOLIN solo is two octaves, from A3 to A5. All notes for the VIOLIN are playable in the first position making this arrangement an excellent choice for early-intermediate string players. The piano accompaniment is at the early-intermediate level. Cover Image Credit: Pixabay.com
