Burt Bacharach composed the hit song “What the World Needs Now is Love” in 1965 with lyricist Hal David. The song was first made popular by vocalist Jackie DeShannon, later performed by Dionne Warwick in 1966, and covered by numerous artists in the decades that followed. The song has been beautifully arranged for concert band by L. C. Harnsberger with inspiration from the original Bacharach orchestration. This arrangement is a perfect addition to any pops concert, and works especially well as a closer or encore.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
