Choral Choir (SATB) - Level 2 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.719698

Composed by American. Arranged by Curtis Hanson. Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. Curtis Hanson #3244277. Published by Curtis Hanson (A0.719698).

Wayfaring Stranger is a wonderful traditional American melody here arranged for SATB voices and piano. The vocal writing is not difficult so should be accessible for most choirs with moderate competence. The first verse begins simply in bass/treble voice unison before breaking into an independent four-part texture. The second verse starts with the treble voices in canon over an ostinato accompaniment before again going into four parts. The final verse is a more declamatory choral unison before, you guessed it, going into fuller texture. The piece would be well-suited for school, community, or church settings. It is also available for solo voice and piano.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
