This 5-minute a capella motet for SATB Choir is a Latin setting of the great Psalm 12 (Vulgate), a powerful and uplifting setting of King David's psalm. The mournful opening expresses the composer's grief at the tragic demise of his grandmother (in whose memory the motet is dedicated) in 1964. The music ends with a strong feeling of hope and joy, reflecting the Psalm's powerful text.
