Composed by Johann Sebastian Bach. Arranged by Robert E. Proctor. Baroque,Instructional. Score and parts. 5 pages. R. E. Proctor #6051415. Published by R. E. Proctor (A0.809908).Two duets for double bass or cello to provide the student and the teacher an opportunity to move beyond scales and exercises for a little change of pace. Drawn from the works of J.S. Bach. The "Bourrée in E Minor", from the Lute Suite in E minor, has suggested phrasing, fingerings, and bowings are for double bass. The "Aire on the G String" is from the 3rd Orchestral Suite. This does not have any edits beyond phrasing. The student is encouraged to develop his/her own fingerings and bowings and discuss his/her reasons with the instructor. The duration of the "Aire" is approximately 2:50 and the "Bourrée" is about 1:30. The student and the teacher should play both parts, perhaps, changing on the repeats.
