A cantata from the annual cycle "Musicalisches Lob Gottes" (1744), which celebrates Laetare (the third Sunday before Easter) - "rejoice" - with a jubilant opening chorus. According to Telemann's notes, it can be performed in several different combinations of parts. The opening chorus is also in the "Biblische Spruche" (see p. 12).
