SKU: A0.564503
By Sharon Wilson. By Sharon Wilson. Arranged by Sharon Wilson. A Cappella,Christmas,Contemporary,Easter,Sacred. 19 pages. Sharon Wilson #2013417. Published by Sharon Wilson (A0.564503).
The author of the books "John" and "Revelation" uniquely calls Jesus "The Word." This song is a combination of four verses from these books of the Bible referring to Jesus as "The Word." The selected verses (John 1:1, 14 and Revelation 19:1, 6) meld together naturally and tell the story of Jesus in the beginning with God, then as "The Word" who became flesh and concludes with Jesus reigning as the King of Kings.
The tone begins softly and simply in the key of B-flat major then builds as it reaches the Hallelujahs in the middle. A powerful finish rounds out the piece with a key change to C Major and concluding with an uplifting "Hallelujah! The Almighty reigns!" Covering the entire scope of the Bible in these few verses, including the Christmas and Easter themes, this piece is a beautiful praise song appropriate for any worship service throughout the year.
This arrangement is written for SSAA with an optional piano accompaniment. It is easily adapted to SSA or SSAT. Vocal ranges are as follows (middle C = C4): Soprano I ~ F4 to F5 Soprano II ~ D4 to C5 Alto I ~ Bflat3 to A4 Alto II ~ G3 to E4
This arrangement is straight forward with few close harmonies to master making it a good choice for those new to a cappella. Soprano I is the lead and sings the melody throughout.
The purchase price includes the 9-page combined score with voice and accompaniment plus a 4-page score with just the voice parts and a separate 3-page score with piano accompaniment only. Duration 4:00 at the suggested tempo, though some prefer it a little faster.
This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
