Piano Solo - Level 4 - Digital Download

SKU: A0.835962

By Phillips, Craig & Dean. By Chris Tomlin, J.D. Walt, and Jesse Reeves. Arranged by Colleen Adent. Contemporary. Score. 7 pages. Colleen Adent #6269323. Published by Colleen Adent (A0.835962).

This beautiful solo piano arrangement is a tender setting of "The Wonderful Cross," a popular praise song by Chris Tomlin based on the timeless hymn "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross" by Isaac Watts. Tomlin’s version uses the verses from the original hymn, coupled with a newly written chorus. In this late intermediate piano arrangement, the gentle motif of the Tomlin chorus acts as a soft introduction. Then, the verse enters with a gentle eighth-note accompaniment. Tasteful reharmonizations, lush arpeggios, and lyrical melodies played in sixths work together to create a warm, loving atmosphere-the perfect music to capture the hope of Easter.
