By Robert Farnon. By Robert Farnon. Arranged by Tom Horton. Contemporary. Score. 4 pages. Tom Horton #6722049. Published by Tom Horton (A0.931713).

Robert Farnon was a master composer known for his 'light' orchestral music - his most famous pieces include 'Portrait of a Flirt' and 'Jumpin Bean'. He was considered by his peers to be the finest arranger in the world, and his talents influenced many composer-arrangers, including Quincy Jones, all of whom acknowledged his contributions to their work. Conductor André Previn called him "the greatest writer for strings in the world."

Here his romantic Waltz based on the chimes of Big Ben contains a wonderful flowing melody line in three-quarter time.

This version features Treble Clef melody and chord symbols, with several key changes for fun!

You can hear this arrangement on YouTube or on the arranger's CD Album here: https://tomhorton.co.uk/cds/cd6.html
