This cello quartet arrangement of J.P. Sousa's The Stars and Stripes Forever is perfect for groups with players of different ability levels. The melody is passed between the cello 1, 2, and 3 parts while cello 4 is a much simpler part containing only quarter and half notes. The cello 1 part includes a very small section in tenor clef, all of the other parts are completely in bass clef. The difficulty level is suitable for very beginners through intermediate players. It can also be played by a larger cello ensemble by doubling players on parts.
