This piece was commissioned by AMIS (the Association for Music in International Schools) for the Combined 2016 International Honor Choirs in Luxembourg - the conductor at the premiere was Axel Theimer. The words speak of the gift of music bestowed upon young and old, with its mystical power to transform, concluding: "These are the three great chords of might / And he whose ear is tuned aright / Will hear no discord in the three / But the most perfect harmony." British composer Paul Ayres has received over one hundred commissions, and his works have been awarded prizes in composition competitions in Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, New Zealand, Russia, Spain, Switzerland, the UK and the USA.
