The Sacred Flute
Not a fan of these arrangements. The piano part in nearly all of the songs duplicates the flute part, so much so these pieces could be performed without the flute. On one piano part is written 'gently bring out the melody notes' which are the same notes the flute plays. This to me defeats the purpose of accompaniment. One exception is I Will Pray, which I already owned and which is such a great piece I purchased this book thinking it would be more similar arrangements. Perhaps the target audience is someone less confident soloing who would be more comfortable playing along with the piano but if you are looking for interesting arrangements where the flute and piano complement each other, this is not it.

Practical Flute Solos for Church
I love this book of flute solos as they are easy prepare for church offertories with limited rehearsal. And some of the most loved hymns as well!

Sacred Flute is great,
I rehearsed these with my pianist a few days ago and he loved all of them! They are not hard to play. I would say beginner intermediate for the majority of the songs. Great to play at church with minimal need to rehearse more than a few minutes!
