Composed by Frederick M. Lehman. Arranged by James Ivy. Gospel,Praise & Worship,Sacred,Spiritual. Score and parts. 12 pages. Jim Ivy #6134733. Published by Jim Ivy (A0.981657).

Composed in 1919 when it was unusual to find a telephone in rural America, this hymn became popular at church camp meetings. It remained popular throughout the 1920s and well into the 1930s. In the 60s and 70s, this hymn was often performed by folk artists such as Burl Ives.

This arrangement for string quartet brings a light-hearted sense of humor to the original.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
