Description: The Paths We Take is a musical reflection on the choices we make in life. One choice leads to another choice and dictates a path. As the piece moves towards an ending, the performer "matures"" and is allowed to make more choices (ex: dynamics, accents, tempo). The section markers Child, Youth, Adult, and Elder should be considered as style indications and a suggested mindset. Instrumentation is left up to the performer so long as the instruments have a skin or plastic head. The bottom notes should be played with a foot pedal.
