Composed by Sarah Wallin Huff. Contemporary. 6 pages. Novel Soundtrax #2035891. Published by Novel Soundtrax (A0.800311).

This original work for Soprano and Violin is the second installment of the in-progress Brothers Grimm Song Cycle, the sister piece to "Fair Katrinelje and Pif-Paf-Poltrie." Like its predecessor, it features Stravinsky-style charisma and charm in depicting the tale of a young rogue of a boy offering solace to an old beggar-woman, and the moral to be taken from the boy's folly when things go awry... Composed in 2011, this short work is a hefty jaunt of rhythmic and tonal flourish; a challenge and a delight to perform!
