This moving composition sets to music the beloved 1868 poem by Sarah Williams, best recognized by the immortal line, "I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night." Told from the point of view of an old astronomer who passes on words of wisdom and instruction to his young pupil from his death bed, this song is filled with wonder, mystery, and bittersweet recollections sure to touch the heart and capture the imagination.

Stephanie is a piano teacher, composer and performer in north Texas. She studied piano performance at Hill College (Hillsboro, TX) and Tarleton State University (Stephenville, TX), and is also the second place winner of the 2007 Lorenzo de Medici Piano and Voice Competition in Tuscania, Italy.
