2020 SMP Press Composition Contest Entry for both the Popular and Sacred instrumental ensemble categories:  This is a flexible wind ensemble arrangement of a hymn based on Psalm 23 and written by Ralph Carmichael in 1969.  It may be performed with either a vocal or instrumental soloist in C.  Otherwise, the melody may also be performed by a Bb instrument such as a clarinet or trumpet, accompanied by the rest of the ensemble consisting of: 
* 2 soprano C instruments such as 2 flutes or a flute and an oboe,
* an Eb alto saxophone or a horn in F, and
* a Bb bass clarinet or a bass C instrument like a bassoon.
The duration is approximately 2 minutes. 
NOTE: The YouTube video link goes to a rendition which uses a wind quintet of flute, oboe, clarinet, horn and bassoon.
