What the...? 2. The Fairy Penguin. This is a bird who can’t fly at all! And it nests not in a treetop, but in a burrow underground. Huh? 3. The Cockatoo. Ok, yes, the cockatoo can soar majestically through the sky, but its song? So ugly. So with The Little Aviary I am merely attempting to redress the balance. Let’s hear it for all the birds, even the weird ones.
