Today, Voestalpine is a company specialising in technology and industrial goods. Founded nearly 150 years ago, it has played an important role in the steel and iron industry throughout its history. The company displays an impressive “Contemporary History Exhibition 1938-1945” commemorating the victims of National Socialist forced labour in the factory during WWII. ‘Iron Ring’ refers to the company logo during that time. This work is a symphonic poem-like composition, describing different aspects of the companies’ history in four musical scenes. It is a dramatic, breathtaking and impressive piece of music that will leave no one untouched. The piece features severalimpressive solos for a cello.

Voestalpine is een Oostenrijks bedrijf dat gespecialiseerd is in technologische en industriële goederen. Het is bijna 150 jaar geleden opgericht en heeft sinds die tijd een belangrijke rol gespeeld in de staal- en ijzerindustrie. De firma houdt een indrukwekkende tentoonstelling getiteld ‘Zeitgeschichteausstellung 1938 1945’ ter nagedachtenis aan de slachtoffers van dwangarbeid in de fabriek onder het nationaalsocialisme in de Tweede Wereldoorlog. ‘Iron Ring’ verwijst naar het bedrijfslogo uit die periode. Dit werk heeft iets van een symfonisch gedicht dat in vier muzikale ‘scènes’ verschillende aspecten van de bedrijfsgeschiedenis beschrijft. Het is een dramatisch,adembenemend en imposant stuk muziek dat op iedereen indruk zal maken. Het bevat verschillende prachtige solo’s voor cello.

Voestalpine ist heute ein auf Technologie und Industriegüter spezialisiertes Unternehmen. Es wurde vor fast 150 Jahren gegründet und spielte in seiner gesamten Geschichte eine wichtige Rolle in der Stahl- und Eisenindustrie. Das Unternehmen zeigt eine eindrucksvolle "Zeitgeschichteausstellung 1938-1945“ zum Gedenken an die Opfer der nationalsozialistischen Zwangsarbeit in der Fabrik während des Zweiten Weltkriegs. "Iron Ring“ bezieht sich auf das Firmenlogo aus dieser Zeit. Das Werk ist eine Art sinfonische Dichtung, die in vier musikalischen Szenen verschiedene Aspekte der Unternehmensgeschichte beschreibt. Es ist ein dramatisches, atemberaubendes und eindrucksvollesMusikstück, das niemanden unberührt lässt. Das Stück enthält auch mehrere beeindruckende Cello-Soli.

Voestalpine est une société autrichienne qui se spécialise dans la technologie et les produits industriels. Fondée il y a bientôt 150 ans, elle a toujours joué un rôle important dans l’industrie de l’acier et du fer. Depuis 2014, son siège abrite une impressionnante exposition permanente commémorant les victimes du régime national-socialiste condamnées aux travaux forcés dans l’usine au cours de la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Iron Ring (l’Anneau de fer) fait référence au logo de l’entreprise l’époque. Semblable un poème symphonique, cette composition dépeint divers aspects de l’histoire de Voestalpine sous la forme de quatre tableaux musicaux. Cette œuvre dramatique etémouvante, qui contient plusieurs solos impressionnants pour violoncelle, ne manquera pas de toucher ses auditeurs.
