Composed by Kenneth Baird. Blues,Jazz,Pop. Score. 4 pages. Kenneth Baird Music #700970. Published by Kenneth Baird Music (A0.1097088).

The Hopeful Blues - by Kenneth Baird - for solo piano. Written in an authentic traditional jazz style, but no improvisation required. A joyful jazzy melody that works well at various tempos, but is most joyful when played about 160 = quarter note. The written-out "improvisation" section has the most technically advanced moments. In difficulty, this falls somewhere between advanced-intermediate and the lower end of advanced. "Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness." (Desmond Tutu) "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." (Romans 15:13).
