'The Friends and the Beast' (by Kyriacos Papasavva) is a parable about the adventures of a bear, a mouse and two wood cutting friends. In order the themes are: 'Children of Golders Green', 'The Villager's Dance', 'The Woodcutter's Theme', 'Sleeping and Dreaming', 'The Bear and the Mouse' and 'The Fairies Waltz'. First performed by the composer on Sunday 23rd November 2014 in the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Cross of St. Michael.
