Noel, the news of the long-awaited baby, is a message of simplicity and joy. Try to picture the shepherds on a crystal clear night, contentedly resting with their sheep under the twinkling, starry sky. Very carefully, broaden and crescendo into the chorus at bars 48-52; then, immediately return to a very delicate touch as you finish the piece.
