The bassoon part has an bass clarinet alternate, the oboe part has a 2nd flute alternate, and the horn part has a 2nd clarinet alternate, which doesn't go above the break. The waltz itself is from 1920, one of the last things Sol P. Levy wrote and it was well received at that time although it sounds quite old-fashioned today. This is intended for young students.
