Piano gymnastics
This immense work is actually an abridged version of what is supposed to be a 12 volume set of technical exercises devised by the greatest piano virtuoso, Franz Liszt. The editor Julio Esteban distilled the essentials from each volume (the rest of the volume is supposedly the same exercise in all other keys). This is best for students who have mastered all scales and arpeggios as each exercise is meant to be transposed in every key. Students who have completed and mastered Hanon may move on to these exercises. Extreme care must be taken so as not to injure the hands.
