Tafos is the Greek word for Tomb and was composed in memory of the composer, architect and resistancefighter Iannis Xenakis who died in February of 2001.
Tafos is divided into 6 short movements, the first being a call to arms, the 2nd and 6th are marches, the 3rd and 5th are dances whilst the 5th is a lament.
