This work is dedicated to Fritz Neukomm and was created at the MidEurope Festival in 2004 by the Schweizer Armee Spiel. The basic theme of this work is founded on a series of chords which are played in an archaic order. The variations that follow are not only musical variations of the theme, but also create a separate line that runs in parallel as a result of the choice of instruments. This piece is undoubtedly a real challenge for any ambitious orchestra and is extremely suitable for competitions and prestigious concerts.

Dit werk, dat werd opgedragen aan Fritz Neukomm, werd gecreëerd op het MidEurope Festival in 2004 door het Schweizer Armee Spiel. Het basisthema van dit werk is gebaseerd op een reeks akkoorden die elkaar op archa?sche wijze opvolgen.De variaties die hierop volgen, zijn niet enkel muzikale varianten op het thema, maar vormen vooral ook door een bijzondere instrumentatiekeuze een aparte lijn, parallel lopend met de variaties op zich. Dit werk is zonder twijfeleen ware uitdaging voor elk ambitieus orkest en is erg geschikt voor wedstrijden of prestigieuze concerten.

Dieses Werk wurde Fritz Neukomm gewidmet und beim Mitteleuropäischen Festival 2004 vom Schweizer Armee Spiel uraufgeführt. Das Hauptthema dieses Werkes liegt in einer Serie von Akkorden, die in einer archaischen Reihenfolge gespielt werden. Die dannfolgenden Variationen sind nicht nur musische Variationen des Themas, sondern entwickeln eine eigene Linie, die sich aufgrund der Instrumentenwahl ineinander verstrickt. Dieses Werk ist zweifellos eine echte Herausforderung für jedes ambitionierte Orchester undeignet sich ausgezeichnet für Wettbewerbe und ganz besondere Konzerte.
