By Linda Mckechnie. By Robert Macgimsey. Arranged by Linda Mckechnie. 21st Century,Christmas,Contemporary. Score. 9 pages. Linda McKechnie #903076. Published by Linda McKechnie (A0.1314332).

A sensitive and expressive, yet dramatic arrangement of Sweet Little Jesus boy.
The arrangement starts in a reflective, simplistic way as if telling the story to the
baby Jesus and questioning, with honest wonder, why Jesus came to earth…. He
“came to save us Lord”. The mood changes as the storyteller remembers how
Jesus was treated…. “The world treats you mean Lord”. Feel the agony in the
deliberate chords, the hurt, and struggle. In an African American spiritual style,
the arrangement paints a picture without words using chords from the “blues
era” and gives the pianist freedom to push ahead or hold back. The listener will be
captivated with the “story in music”.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
