Composer's notes: Composed in 2002 for the students of Percussion Department at Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois. The inspiration for such a large work came directly from the instrumentation found in Finding Fossils. A re-scored version features solo vibraphone accompanied by 5 mallet players.
Solo part contains large sections of improvisation.
