August Eduard Grell (1800-1886) was a prolific composer and an equally brilliant organist. His compositions included an unaccompanied mass, an oratorio, psalms, motets, cantatas and many songs and duets. Robert van Beringen has created an especially beautiful arrangement of the motet Herr, deine Gute reicht so weit (Lord, your goodness reaches afar). A beautifully lyrical work that will provide a fantastic addition to any concert programme.

August Eduard Grell war Organist, leitete lange die Sing-Akademie in Berlin und war auch als Komponist sehr produktiv: Sein Werk umfasst eine A-cappella-Messe, Psalmen, Motetten, Kantaten, ein Oratorium sowie zahlreiche Lieder und Duette. Robert van Beringen schuf eine wundervolle Bearbeitung von Grells Motette zum Hoffnung und Trost spendenden Text aus Psalm 36: Herr, deine Gute reicht so weit.
