Composed by Stephen Weber. Contemporary. Score and part. 25 pages. Dr. Stephen Weber #3079833. Published by Dr. Stephen Weber (A0.940357).Sonatine for Flute and Piano is a three-movement work for advanced flutists, ideal for concert performance. The three movements are Largo/Presto, Freely, Allegro. The second movement requires the soloist to perform leaning over into the piano strings to create sympathetic vibrations. The sonatine is quite virtuosic, both for the soloist and the pianist. At one time, the sonatina was on the recommended repertoire list of the National Flute Association. Composer Dr. Stephen Weber is Professor of Music and Chair of the Division of Arts and Humanities at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma. He is a member of ASCAP and has his own YouTube channel, at which you can hear performances of his works in the U.S., in Europe, and in Asia. His professional web site is www.stephenweberdr.com.
