Helen Glatz (1908-1996) studied at the Royal College in London with Vaughan-Williams and Gordon Jacob; won a Cobbett prize for chamber music and a travelling scholarship; went to Italy, Vienna and Budapest; post- war returned as a refugee to this country; joined the teaching staff at Dartington until her death.
