Composed by Patrick Prejean. Contemporary. Score and parts. 35 pages. Patrick Prejean #1989433. Published by Patrick Prejean (A0.923282).

This sonata was written for my great friend Shannon Crumlish. I also wanted to prove to myself that I could compose for a brass instrument. It has four movements with the first movement being a march. However it is not a typical march due to it being in 3/4 time. The second movement is greatly influenced by the music of Apollo 13. The third movement is short and prepares us for the finale and is the only movement that is entirely in a minor key. The finale combines the motives of the first and second movements for an exciting end that starts in g minor and ends in the typical key of B flat major. This work is challenging but certainly worth the effort.
