It is in a very accessible idiom yet is contemporary in sound. The first movement is in a clear lyrical sonata form, the second, as the marking implies, is quite romantic in character and the third is in a jaunty, jazzy style. The Sonata can be heard on my Centaur label CD, "Sweet was the Song: Music by Julian Harvey." The CD has been distributed on Amazon Music, Spotify and other sites.
