The piece doubles as an etude for the early intermediate pianist: both hands overlap (right hand below left) for eight measures, then, each hand takes a turn playing a brief melody while the other plays a string of repeated notes. Composed in an impressionistic style, using just twelve consecutive piano keys (D4 to C#5), "Snow" alternates between the keys of D minor and F minor.
