Richard DeRosa, who is currently the lead composition teacher at North Texas State University in Denton, Texas has composed this modal swing-funk piece that will keep your students fully interested and engaged. A haunting "ostinato bass" line provides the main groove the rhythm section. The chart features a swing/funk feel where the horns play with a swing feel over the straight feel of the rhythm section.
