Composed by Ralph Vaughan Williams. Arranged by Ralph Sauer. 20th Century. Score and part. 15 pages. Gordon Cherry #915405. Published by Gordon Cherry (A0.1327356).

Six Studies in English Folksong by Ralph Vaughan Williams composed in 1926 for the Cellist, Meg Mukle have been beautifully arranged for Horn & Piano by Ralph Sauer, retired Principal Trombonist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Although titled "Studies", these movements are very beautiful gems, each one shining with genius and able to stand on their own.

They are all in the modal lyrical style of the composer, whose music is impressionist yet British to the core. The final movement, an Allegro Vivace evokes the memory of his English Folk Song Suite for Band.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
