The Murray text claims that we are all an echo of God's good humor, and therefore we are to sing not just a joyful, but a “happy” alleluia. Morris picks up the idea in her setting giving us a tune filled with delight. There are a couple of places where the harmonic vocabulary wanders adventurously. Though completely logical, some extra rehearsal time will be needed in these spots. But it's all more than worth it! Assembly parts are optional.

With a text by Shirley Erena Murray, this hymn with refrain has a gentle swing.
