This composition was originally written as a duet between the solo trumpet (flugelhorn) & solo piano by former King's Brass pianist, Dan Marvin on The King's Brass Christmas CD 625 (3027). It was later expanded by former King's Brass trombone player, David Gravesen, to include two stanzas for congregation. Trumpet parts can be played by Bb Trumpets or Flugelhorns with French Horn (Trombone 1 substitute part) included to give ensemble flexibility. This version was recorded Tim Zimmerman & The King's Brass for their Christmas JOY CD 733 on the Summit Record Label (www.summitrecords.com) but never made it to the final project. It was released as a single for Christmas 2021. Original shorter version (duration 2:44) is available for Solo Bb Trumpet (Flugelhorn) & Piano or Solo Trombone & Piano.
