Composed by Franz Xaver Gruber. Arranged by Edward David Zeliff. A Cappella,Christmas,Sacred. Octavo. 8 pages. Edward David Zeliff #4766899. Published by Edward David Zeliff (A0.888257).

This familiar Christmas hymn is treated with delicacy and originality. Original material is used for the introduction, the transitions, and the coda, and the hymn itself is treated to an enrichment of its original harmonic language that adds warmth and poignancy to the setting. There is variety in the voicing from verse to verse, and the middle verse, which is a cappella, features alternate harmonies and an elaboration of the melody. The piano is quiet and supportive and adds a further enrichment of texture.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
