It was the Band's seventh album and the first one where Burton Cummings took the artist lead after the departure of Randy Bachman. And no one was disappointed as it was a chart-topper. The song reached #10 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on Canada's RPM.
This song would begin their signature style of a wonderful mix of blues and gospel rock with "ear-worm" melodies. An excellent crowd pleaser!
