This arrangement takes a little different approach to this passionate masterpiece. Instead of the bold, dynamic energy of the original score, this arrangement features a softer, delicate interpretation, creating a sense of loneliness, loss, and heartbreak in a gentle setting. While the tempo of this piece is notated as "Largo, rubato," the arranger encourages conductors to use rubato liberally for ultimate dramatic effect. Suggested measures for additional ritardando include the end of measure 9 and measures 13 through 15.
