Composed by Johannes Brahms. Arranged by Benjamin Chin. 19th Century,Classical,Religious,Sacred. Octavo. 7 pages. FMF Music #809627. Published by FMF Music (A0.1212262).

"Selig sind, die da Leid tragen" is the first movement from Brahms' German Requiem, Op. 45.  Arranged so this incredible work could be accessible to the SSA middle school choir, the key has been changed from F major to C major for range considerations, and portions have been cut to reduce the runtime from 10 minutes to 6 minutes.  The original SATB and orchestra parts were re-worked from Brahms' score with the goal of maintaining faithfulness to the source material.  Part ranges are as follows: soprano 1 (C4 to E5), soprano 2 (A3 to F5), alto (Ab3 to C5).

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters.
