Sea Of Trees (Opus 47 – No. 2) Solo for flute with piano accompaniment. Impress at your performance with a fresh sounding, original solo, that will captivate your audience. The following work is an expressive programmatic journey, written for solo flute, and piano accompaniment. It has been based on Aokigahara, a forest that lies at the base of Mount Fuji, Brought to life through the ornamented melodic phrases, recreating echo’s of Asian musical history. Locally, it is also known under the name of ("Sea of Trees") because of its very high density of trees. It is a unique forest in many ways with barely any wildlife, thus it is very quiet, created by clever use of harmony and texture. This evokes a haunted, yet peaceful sound to envelop your audience. (2:26).
