Published by Phillip Lawrence (A0.883782).The original folk tune as picked up in the 1960's by Simon & Garfunkle, for Intermediate/Jnr. Brass Band. The tune is anon and indeed very old. In my title, the word "Impressions" is used to describe the harmonic style which is decidedly French of a Darius Mihaud style or even a light Messian. It should keep the young players on their toes in an aural sense and the tuning of a challenge, and perhaps feeling rather musically grown up delivering this in a concert?
