Composed by Lori Cummings. Children,Instructional. Score. 2 pages. Lori Cummings #3517925. Published by Lori Cummings (A0.762284).

This song introduces beginner students to the finger pattern of playing a scale.  Hands are played separately, ascending and descending, with "X" to mark the finger crossovers.  Contrary motion is also introduced in the song, as well as "fish jumps".  It is a fun piece and students will be so excited to learn their first scale!

Teacher's Note:  Practice instructions are included with the song.  The "chips" suggested are coloured Bingo chips.  I put 4 of each of the colours in a small bag (only 2 red which indicates to play the "whole song").  When they pull a chip from the bag, they have to play the phrase that corresponds with that colour.
