SAILOR'S HORNPIPE (also known as The College Hornpipe and Jack's the Lad) is a traditional hornpipe with its origins in the British Royal Navy. It continues to be popular with old-time, bluegrass and Irish fiddlers in the United States and Canada. This arrangement is for a string ensemble (two violins and a cello.) All parts are equally fun and challenging with a skill level of INTERMEDIATE. Separate sheet music for each instrument is included in this package. An arrangement of Sailor's Hornpipe by McIntire as a violin duet at the Easy Intermediate skill level is also available at this web site.

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
