"Run for the Roses" Single by Dan Fogelberg from the album The Innocent AgeB-side. It was commissioned by ABC TV for the 106th running of the Kentucky Derby. A Beautiful Ballad that captures the magic of the the once in a life time chance to win the prestigious race. It has a waltz feel and nostalgic imagery evokes the Kentucky countryside. A nice pops song to add to your library. Hope you enjoy it. This Works great for trio, you need a 2nd violinist that is comfortable playing double stops !  The string quartet version is quite nice too, and I tried to . preserve the harmonies from that. If they are too difficult, you can leave out the lower note on difficult double stops.
