Composed by Igor Korneitchouk. 20th Century,Contemporary,Folk. Individual part. 6 pages. Studio at the Post #744765. Published by Studio at the Post (A0.1144438).

Duration: 4 - 5 minutes, 4 pp. Description: With its very restricted range and constrained metrical pulse, 'Round the World in a Rockin' Chair manically chases its tail in an attempt to escape and finally breaks free of its "prison of the mind." In the process the piece evolves a complex rhyme scheme of harmonies that on one hand never leaves the "rocking chair" while on the other constantly strives for new chord variations. The piece was written and dedicated to the composer's friend and colleague, banjo player Joe Falletta.
