Composed by Joel Jacklich (ASCAP). Concert,Contemporary. Individual part. 1 pages. Joel Jacklich #6228135. Published by Joel Jacklich (A0.723177).

Romance for Solo Cello (Unaccompanied) was written for cellist Marty Steinberg.  It is in three-part (ABA) form.  The opening and closing sections feature up-bow portato.  The middle section has extensive use of parallel sixth double-stops as well as portato, presenting the most difficult portion of the piece.  It is partially inspired by the Mazas Etudes for the Violin. which are all short, usually very lyrical, romantic exercises, each focusing on a particular technical problem -- in this case parallel sixths. .

This product was created by a member of ArrangeMe, Hal Leonard’s global self-publishing community of independent composers, arrangers, and songwriters. ArrangeMe allows for the publication of unique arrangements of both popular titles and original compositions from a wide variety of voices and backgrounds.
