The hand of my soul reaches back across the years to touch the light on that sunny day! To feel the wonder of a sudden low-flying blimp, and smell the earth under the summer grass!
O how time has passed, and years; and as they pass, so do we. All boys and girls with bright dreams, with visions of beauty and changing the world – and are forgotten.
We grow old, and our body withers, but our soul grows deep and silent; then only a shadow of what we were, wanted, willed.
Help us, O God, to remember our dreams while we may, that what we leave when we go might give someone pause on their way, to feel the life in them as it was in us.
